Are you ready to have the designation "RTRP" following your name?
You've already gotten your PTIN, the next step is to prepare for the IRS RTRP Competency Exam. If you are not currently an Attorney, Certified Public Accountant or Enrolled Agent, you will be required to pass the IRS RTRP Exam by December 31, 2013 in order to continue to prepare tax returns.
The IRS Exam covers:
- The 1040 series of tax returns
- Related Forms and Schedules
- Ethical Responsibilities of Tax Preparers

Course Outline:
- A hard copy review study guide, which covers all the topics on the IRS RTRP Competency Exam
- Review questions following each chapter
- Unlimited practice exams – practice until you feel ready to pass the Exam!
- Answers and explanation are provided for each exam question
- Each review exam contains 120 random questions
- Exams are limited to 2 1/2 hours each
Tax Law Updates CE Seminar
This seminar will enhance your understanding of new or changed tax laws
- Learn to identify how these changes will affect taxpayer(s)
- Learn to recognize how to apply these new or changed tax laws
- Earn 3 hours of CE
Ethics and Responsibilities of Tax Professionals CPE Seminar
Upon completion of this seminar, you will be able to:
- Describe the professional responsibilities of a tax preparer
- Determine the actions necessary to maintain client confidentiality
- Identify the requirements to practice before the IRS
- Earn 3 hours of CE
CE Credit Eligibility
- 16 Total Hours of CE:
- 10 hours of Federal CE for the RTRP Competency Exam Review
- 3 hours of CE for Tax Law Updates
- 3 hours of CE for Ethics
Availability:
- All courses are based on last year's tax laws. Tax Law Updates are available once the new regulations have been announced.
System Requirements:
Internet Access
- Broadband or high-speed internet access is strongly recommended. Broadband includes DSL, cable, and wireless connections.
- Dial-Up internet connections will result in a diminished online experience. Moodle pages may load slowly and viewing large audio and video files may not be possible.

- Virtually all Windows-Mac-Linux hardware configurations and processors are acceptable.

- Internet Explorer 6, 7 and 8 Safari is not currently recommended as it cannot display certain Moodle editing menus for both students and instructors
