Combustion is a powerful compositing and special effect package. It is used on high-end product based like Flame and Inferno. It is also used for vector-based painting and also for animation, to create compiling effects for film & television.  Bring your imagination to life and get your work done faster with the easy-to-use interface, its efficient workflow, and extensive toolset.

 

Course Curriculum

 

Paint & Text Operator:

 

A paint operator gives freehand drawing control over Composites. This option can be used for touch-ups,masking,cell animation & general graphics art.
While text operator is one of the most straight forward tool in Combustion are mainly useful for developing Motion graphics, movie credits & broadcast caption.

 

 

 

Compositing in 2d and 3d:

 

Compositing in 2d like working in Photoshop like sofwares which has only two-dimentions x, y, while in 3d works like in 3d max got three-dimentions x, y & z dimention (depth 'z')

 

 

 

Masking:

 

Masks are used when only a part of an image want to be visible, while other portions are made partially or completely transparent to allow the images to or pixels below \ behind to be visible.

 

 

 

Color Correction:

 

Depending on how many values are available to each of the RGB channels determines the bit depths of an image. Fixing of an bit depths of an images or changing values of RGB is called 'color correction'.

 

 

 

Keying:

 

Keying is the process of masking parts of footage based on color or other information. For this purpose blue or green screen used as a background [commonly].

 

 

 

Tracking:

 

Combustion enables to do 2d tracking of any element or point in scenes through a tracker a Shaky camera can be stabilized.

 

 

 

Animation:

 

The movement of text across the screen, scale an object overtime, change an object's color, this all can be done in animation. Most of the controls in combustion can be animated over time.

 

 

 

Particles:

 

A particle system is a collection of small objects called particles that combines to give a much larger effects. It have many properties such as gravity, velocity,life,etc. that can be controlled to define overall looks. It's having it own Particles-Libraries, we can create effects & add into the Libraries.

 

 

 

Rendering and output:

 

When mixed resolutions and frame rates of source materials, considered the format like DV, for DVD output files. The output files is which wants to show the final output. Rendering is the adjustments of quality of the outputs.

 

 

 

Integration with 3dmax:

 

when tweening and painting and changing colors in one Software (combustion) can change automatically the color in other application. Paints color in combustion will affect in 3dmax.

 

 

HARDWARE & SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:

-       You can be a PC user to take our courses. You'll need a Pentium II with Internet connection and a web browser (Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher).

-       Basic dial-up Internet access is adequate but a high speed connection is recommended.

-       Depending upon the course taken by you, you can either download the free trail versions of the software from the respective sites (the links of which are displayed on our webpages of that particular course) or you can purchase the software from the respective software sites.

 

Required Materials:

-       We do not suggest you buy any textbooks. Our courses have been developed by a team of designers, educators, writers and programmers with more than 16 years of combined experience. So the courses are really like textbooks themselves. We also give you notes in the form of PDF files.

 

Instructor Interaction and Grading:

-       Interacting with Instructors is one of the most important aspects of our training. We offer multiple opportunities for interaction, such as email, chat rooms, a virtual bulletin board for student comments. We will also be sending a newsletter on an ongoing basis and there is also an online portfolio area. Your queries and mails will be attended to instantly.

-       The lectures and instructions are based on asynchronous learning models, and have removed the limits normally associated with real-time learning. You need not schedule specific hours of the day, where you must sit in front of the computer. Rather, you can learn at your own convenience.

-       All Notes & Assignments are turned in as PDF files posted in our members section and student-instructor interaction takes place via e-mail or chat. Teaching is highly interactive, with ongoing feedbacks, assessments, evaluation, monitoring & projects.

-       We have a grading policy of - A, B, C grades awarded to the student based on the evaluation of the student’s progress and other related qualities. The project plays an important role in the Grading.

-       On an average, a student is expected to spend MINIMUM 10 hours PER WEEK. For Example- To complete a course of 80 sessions it would take approximately 8 weeks. But you could spend more time per week and complete your course earlier.

-       You cannot skip or jump to another course before completing the previous one. The reason being we evaluate your performance and the course is designed in a very structured and systematic way, to make you understand every feature of that particular topic.
