Code Training/New Construction Inspection
60 hours/DVD/instructor-supported
If you are interested in working as a building inspector doing IRC® (International Residential Code) Inspections, use our materials to pass the International Code Council's (ICC®) IRC® Examination. Learn code provisions from actual real-life scenes and defects. That way, when you get out on site, you are familiar with what you are inspecting. Also, use our extensive, specially designed and field tested IRC Index to increase your chances of passing the ICC® certification exam. Our IRC® Index goes well beyond the index in the IRC® book.
Training Includes
1. 11-Volume DVD Series
These DVDs address close to 2,000 new construction and code related issues. They contain real life scenes from New Construction Sites across the nation. Circles and Arrows are used so you can see the precise item being discussed.

Topics include:
2. The New Construction and Wood Framing Manual (450 pages)
The manual gives detailed explanations of items inspected by a code inspector and the reasoning behind wood framing and structural issues--almost 400 illustrations.
3. Exams that accompany the DVDs and manual. Complete these exams and earn documentation that you have obtained training.
4. E-mail instructor support
Our DVDs are not just talking heads. To cut the training time for new home inspectors, we developed these DVDs which show you close to 2,000 actual defects and scenes just as we saw them on site. It can be almost as though you are there training with us on 100's of inspections. Most other training videos are either only talking heads, i.e. a videotape of a seminar, or a walk through one house. With our DVDs, you see actual defects from hundreds of homes throughout the United States. (A competitor copied our idea, but they have fewer scenes, and their scenes are from Canada). Identifying defects is really the heart of a home inspection.
