MCPD: Enterprise Applications Developer Track

To achieve this certification, you must successfully pass three exams: two Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) .NET Framework 2.0 Windows Applications prerequisite exams and one Professional Series exam.

Exam 70-526: TS: Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 - Windows-Based Client Development
This course provides students with the knowledge to configure Windows Forms and manage layout of the user interface and how to create lists, buttons, tool strips, and menus. This training will also teach you to set up and manage connections to databases, implement data-bound controls to display information to users, read, validate, and write XML and how to enhance usability, accessibility, and user assistance.

Exam 70-536: TS: Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 - Application Development Foundation
This course provides students with the knowledge to use types, collections, generics, and regular expressions to manage data and to develop services, application domains, and multithreaded applications as well as implement code access and role-based security, and data encryption. This course will also teach you to work with serialization and reflection techniques, develop instrument applications with logging and tracing and how to interact with legacy code using COM Interop and PInvoke.

Exam 70–549: PRO: Designing and Developing Enterprise Applications by Using the Microsoft .NET Framework
This course provides students with the knowledge to envision and design an application, evaluate the technical feasibility of an application design concept and to create a proof-of-concept prototype. This training will help learn to evaluate the technical specifications for an application to ensure that the business requirements are met, evaluate the design of a database, evaluate the logical design of an application and how to design and Develop a User Interface.

 

MCPD: Windows Developer Track
